JANUARY 6TH.

YOU THINK YOU KNOW THE STORY.

YOU DON'T.

Through never-before-seen footage, exclusive access to the proud boys, eyewitness reports, unreported emails, videos, social media posts, interviews with politicians on both sides of the aisle, and unprecedented access to the investigators supporting the January 6 Committee, 64 DAYS chronicles the most important period of our modern republic—the 64 democracy-bending days between the election and the devastating January 6th insurrection.

There has never been a more comprehensive exploration of the battle over fair elections and the abuse of power from within the oval office...

and there will not be one to follow.

In the summer of 2020, amid the aftermath of George Floyd's murder and the peak of social justice protests, I set out to explore the growing division in America through film. Engaging with groups from both extremes of the political spectrum, I sought to find common ground but instead witnessed the rise of far-right rhetoric. As MAGA influencers and political operators fueled the #stopthesteal campaign, a grassroots movement questioning the presidential election emerged, uniting many around the goal of keeping Trump in power.

I embedded myself with the Proud Boys, documenting their rapid transformation from a men’s drinking club into a militia that would become a key catalyst for the January 6th insurrection. This journey finally led me to testify before Congress about what I've seen and experienced.

64 DAYS is without question the single most important film I’ve directed. The erosion of democracy is a gradual process, until it isn’t. January 6 reminds us that for a democracy to be successful, it needs the honest participation of everyone.
